Rajasthan: Heavy rainfall in Jaipur leads to waterlogging, triggers traffic disruptions – World News Network

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], September 7 (ANI): Heavy rainfall that lashed the pink city of Rajasthan the night before caused severe waterlogging in several parts of Jaipur, leading to major traffic disruptions.

Commuters faced difficulties as vehicles were submerged and key routes were impacted by the flooding from the rainwater.
Many markets, shops, and establishments are filled with water. The situation is also dire in the slums of the area.

Visuals from Nirman Nagar, Mansarovar, show vehicles crossing the streets in knee-deep waters following incessant rains.

Similarly, people in the Civil Lines area were also seen making their way through waterlogged streets.

The India Meteorological Department, Jaipur, has issued an orange alert for moderate to heavy rainfall in Dausa and Tonk districts.
The weather department has also issued a yellow alert for Alwar, Bundi, Bharatpur, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Baran, Jhalawad, and Bhilwada districts.

Likewise, Anasagar Chaupati and Jaipur Road, Hathi Bhata, were also severely flooded following heavy rainfall in the areas.

Meanwhile, rainfall in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district has caused rivers and streams to overflow, cutting off dozens of villages from the main areas.
According to reports, this has made it difficult for villagers to access essential services and reach the district headquarters.
Security personnel stationed in the region are ensuring the safety of the people. As part of their duty and through humanitarian efforts, they are providing help wherever needed. (ANI)
