New Delhi [India], September 14 (ANI): A 47-year-old man died after a portion of a balcony collapsed in Adhyapak Nagar, near Nangloi, in the national capital on Friday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Anand Kashyap.
According to the Delhi Fire Service, the incident occurred on Friday night at about 9.20 PM when a part of the balcony fell on Anand Kashyap.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, the Delhi Fire Service said.
Earlier on Friday, one person died and two other persons suffered injuries after a portion of a building collapsed in Delhi’s Nabi Karim area, an official said.
Incessant rainfall across Delhi and its adjoining National Capital Region (NCR) for the past few days led to waterlogging and heavy traffic jams across many areas.
On Friday, intermittent downpours continued throughout the day, causing widespread flooding and hampering vehicular movement across the region. (ANI)
