New Delhi [India], October 23 (ANI): Following a review meeting with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Haryana Chief Minister Nayad Singh Saini announced on Wednesday that all 12 proposals for improving road connectivity in the state have been approved by the Union Minister.
During discussions on National Highway Projects with the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Saini addressed issues raised by the people of Haryana regarding the construction of new roads.
“Today, we discussed with Nitin Gadkari all the issues raised by the public regarding new road construction in Haryana. I am pleased to announce that all 12 proposals we submitted for the state have been approved,” he said.
Saini highlighted that a Detailed Project Report (DPR) will soon be prepared to connect the Kurukshetra bypass with the Ladwa bypass and Yamunanagar via a four-lane road. Additionally, the 12-kilometre expressway linking Faridabad to Jewar Airport will be elevated to resolve problems faced by nearby residents.
“The Kurukshetra bypass has been a long-standing topic of discussion. Approval has been granted for a four-lane road connecting the Kurukshetra Bypass, Ladwa Bypass, and Yamunanagar. The DPR will be prepared soon, and work will begin shortly. As for the expressway linking Faridabad to Jewar Airport, a decision has been made to elevate the 12-kilometre stretch within Faridabad, as the previous design posed potential issues for residents,” Saini explained.
He also mentioned that the Faridabad Jewar Greenfield Expressway will connect to Mohna village, improving connectivity as requested by local residents.
Saini further announced the construction of a four-lane road from Shahbad, along with another connecting Panchkula to Dehradun and Haridwar.
“To ease congestion from Gurugram to the Radisson Hotel Mahipalpur and Rajiv Chowk, instructions have been issued to prepare a DPR for the National Mandela Road to MG Road and the Gurugram-Faridabad intersections,” Saini added.
Approval has also been granted for the Gurugram-Farukh Nagar-Jhajjar corridor, and discussions were held regarding the Kherki Daula toll, with plans to build an interchange similar to the KMP-Gohana-Sonipat highway to connect with the Jammu-Katra road.
Saini confirmed that approval has been given to connect Delhi Airport with Jammu-Katra Airport and discussed plans for a flyover near Dharuhera.
“Work will also commence on the Haryana East-West Motorway, which will connect Dabwali to Panipat. To alleviate traffic congestion in Hisar, we discussed the Hisar Ring Road, and a DPR will be prepared for that as well,” Saini added. (ANI)
