Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 2 (ANI): The Meteorological Office issued an alert for very heavy rainfall in five districts of Madhya Pradesh in the next 24 hours on Monday.
A regional meteorologist has also predicted that along with a very heavy rainfall alert in the five districts namely Burhanpur, Khargone, Dewas, Harda and Betul, there is heavy rainfall in 22 districts in the state in the next 24 hours.
“There is a depression (low pressure system) active in East Vidarbha and the adjoining areas. Secondly, a trough line passing through Sriganganagar, Rajasthan and Gondia is connecting to the depression, as a result of which, moisture is arriving from both Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal and Cloudy weather is seen. “Apart from that, there are 22 districts of western Madhya Pradesh where a heavy rainfall alert has been issued. When this system shifts towards the north then, there will be a decrease in the effect of the rainy season,” he added.
